A New Way to Shop!

Hello, my name is Calista and I am the Administrative Coordinator here at Discount School Supply. As the mother of a seven- year- old, I have found a new shopping tool on the Discount School Supply website that helps me find the perfect gift when my son is invited to a birthday party, or when we need a gift for one of his cousins, or we need to buy a gift for a baby shower.

We have a new online feature called “Great Gifts for Less!” It allows shoppers to search for gifts by the activity the child likes to do. If your child likes games and puzzles, check out our Deluxe Marble Race (GETSET)! If the child you are buying a gift for likes to read, check out our selection of books for young readers, like Curious George (CUR) or If You Give a Moose a Muffin (IFUMOOSE)! There are even sections for making your own gift or for items ideal to entertain children at birthday parties.
Searching by activity takes the guesswork out of shopping for me. Usually, my son tells me what his friends like to do and what games they play during recess. Then, I can quickly and easily find a gift on the Discount School Supply website that the child is sure to enjoy. My son can even help me pick out the perfect gift, although he usually finds a few things he wants for himself!

I recently purchased a few gifts for my new niece even before her arrival. Shopping in Infant- two-year-old section on “Great Gifts for Less,” I was able to quickly and easily find items I knew they would be just perfect for her. I chose the seven-piece Teethers and Rattles (BABYPLAY) and the Oball® Original (AP730J). Both items will help my niece develop her grasping skills during tummy time and provide visual stimulation. The Teethers and Rattles also let her make lots of noise as she learns to shake them.
